Heidi Roupp is an educational teacher of world history. She served as president of the World History Association in 1998 and 1999, is author and editor of studies in the teaching of world istory, and has led numerous teacher workshops.

At the World History Center she undertakes educational initiative and serves as co-director of two major projects, along with center director Patrick Manning. First is the national program of teacher institutes, which conducted 16 week-long institues around the U.S. in the summer of 2001, and which continues with a program of developing and publishing world history curriculum. This project is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Lefton Stavrianos Fund.

The second project is the World History Network, a comprehensive website recieving research and teaching in world history, with a portal to other sites as well as its own substantial resources. This project is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, and is under construction in collaboration with the college board.
