World History Center, Northeastern University

This invitational workshop, supported by a grant from the College Board, brings together fourteen leading teachers and professors to prepare curriculum materials for the AP World History course. The results of their work will be published by the College Board and distributed during the 2001-2002 academic year, to assist teachers in preparing their students for the first AP World History exam in May 2002.

Contracted Products of the AP Curriculum Workshop:

  • Fifteen teaching units, each a thematic unit of about one week's class time, with 3 units for each of the 5 sections of the AP World History course
  • An extensive Guide to Websites for World History
  • A Best Practices Guide of 60 pages, including suggested activities and strategies
