| The Center supports world history
as a field of advanced study through research, graduate training, and
professional development. The scope of world history, as defined at the
Center, includes comparative, interactive and synthetic
approaches. The World History Center supports basic and applied research, multimedia production, seminars, and publication. In association with the Department of History, the Center supports study of world history at Ph.D., M.A., and undergraduate levels. The World History Resource Center provides resources for teachers of world history, programs of professional development for secondary teachers, and publications for teachers. In association with the School of Education, the Resource Center supports training and internships for new teachers.
